Yes, it reads the Kindle books very well. The best thing about the app is it supports many different languages with dozens of reading voices. You'll never find one like this. Me have been a customer for 2 years, anyway

Speechify does not directly connect to Kindle because Kindle books are protected by DRM.
Here’s how it works in practice:
❌ You can’t import a Kindle book file directly into Speechify.
✅ But you can use Speechify to read Kindle content indirectly:
On desktop: open Kindle Cloud Reader in your browser and use Speechify’s browser extension to read the text on screen.
On mobile: you can copy text (when Kindle allows it) and paste it into Speechify.
So it works best for:
Short passages
Studying or listening while reading on screen
If your sister mainly wants full audiobooks, Kindle’s own Text-to-Speech or Audible versions are usually smoother. Speechify is more useful as a reading support tool than a full audiobook replacement.
